The first step is to confirm the product has demand. eBay''s built-in Sold Listings filter shows how many of a product have sold in the last 90 days. If 10+ items have sold per week, demand is real.
2. Competitor Analysis
Look at the top 10 sellers offering the same product on eBay. How many they sell, their prices, ratings, and quality of photos. If competition is intense and prices are at the floor, profit margin will suffer.
3. Profit Margin Calculation
Subtract these from the sale price:
- eBay final value fee (10–15%)
- PayPal/Payoneer fee (3%)
- Supplier price
- Shipping fee
- Tax (if applicable)
