Who is the Shopify course for?
The Shopify course is for people who want to build an online store from scratch, sell to overseas buyers with the dropshipping model and grow a brand of their own. You do not need technical skills or coding: the lessons start with signing up for Shopify and move forward step by step. By the end you have a working store structure, a chosen product and an advertising plan.
- Beginners — students, working professionals and anyone who wants to work from home.
- eBay sellers — marketplace sellers who want to move to their own branded store.
- Small business owners — entrepreneurs who want to sell their products to buyers abroad.
Not sure which platform to choose? Compare the eBay and Shopify tracks on our dropshipping course page, or see every option on the e-commerce course page.
What will you learn in the Shopify course?
The course has 11 modules and 56 video lessons and takes you from opening the store to shipping your first order. The module names are kept in their original Azerbaijani form; in English they cover:
- Preparing for the Shopify platform
- Setting up a payment method
- Setting up the Shopify store
- Product research
- Theme and domain
- Apps
- Marketing fundamentals
- Facebook ads
- Ad analytics
- Order management
The lessons show hands-on product research with AliExpress, TikTok Creative Center, ADSpy and PipiADS, sourcing through CJDropshipping, the Vitals, Judge.me and Klaviyo apps, and setting up Facebook Business Manager and an ad account. Each lesson covers one concrete task, so you can repeat it in your own store straight away. The full lesson list is on the Shopify Dropshipping course page.
How does the course work: online or in Baku?
The Shopify course is delivered as online video lessons: after enrolling you watch them from your account on the DevCommerce platform and move at your own pace. The academy's office is in Baku, on the 11th floor of Caspian Business Center, Jafar Jabbarli Street.
- Where: from any device, anywhere.
- Language: the lessons are taught in Azerbaijani.
- Contact: call or message us on WhatsApp (+994 99 938 01 01, +994 70 818 01 01), Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00.
With video you can go back to a tricky topic, such as setting up an ad account, as often as you need. Please confirm the support format during the course and the option of a one-to-one consultation with our team before you enrol. If you are interested in working one to one, see the e-commerce mentorship page.
Does Shopify work from Azerbaijan?
Yes, you can open and run a Shopify store from Azerbaijan, but you need to plan the payments side in advance. Shopify Payments, Shopify's own payment system, only works in supported countries, and Azerbaijan is not on that list (checked November 2026).
That is why the second module of the course is devoted to setting up a payment method, and a separate lesson walks through setting up Payoneer. Read more:

Check current Shopify plan prices on Shopify's official pricing page. Rules can change, so always check the official source before you open an account. Also make sure your bank card is enabled for international payments.
How much does the Shopify course cost?
The Shopify Dropshipping course costs 799 AZN (previously 1150 AZN). The price includes 11 modules and 56 video lessons. Depending on your needs, there are other options too:
| Option | What you get | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify Dropshipping course | 11 modules, 56 video lessons; you build the store yourself | 799 AZN |
| eBay Dropshipping course | 33 video lessons; a lower-budget way to start selling on eBay | 230 AZN |
| Shopify Store Setup service | The DevCommerce team builds the store: domain, theme, product catalogue, payment and shipping settings | On request |
The course price does not include your Shopify subscription, domain, apps or ad budget, so plan those separately. Our guide on how much money you need to start in e-commerce explains how to budget. For payment options, contact us.
What is the path from the course to your first sale?
The student path has four steps. How fast you move through them depends on your time, your budget and the products you choose, so we do not promise exact timelines or income.
- Choose and enrol — tell us your goal by phone or WhatsApp and we pick the right course together.
- Foundations — work through the modules on Shopify's sales logic, the payment system and store setup.
- Store and product — research products, set up the theme, domain and apps, and connect a supplier.
- Traffic and orders — launch TikTok, Pinterest and Facebook campaigns, analyse the results and manage orders.
Product selection usually takes the longest: testing several products on a small budget is normal, and the course shows how to do it. You can read what our students say on the testimonials page.
Why take the Shopify course with DevCommerce?
DevCommerce is an e-commerce academy that has been operating in Baku since 2022. Its lessons are built around the real problems sellers in Azerbaijan face: payment systems, foreign markets, suppliers and ad accounts.
- Team: the academy was founded by director Rufat Jabrayilov; co-founder Akif Ahmadli is the lead instructor. More on the about page.
- Platform: more than 2,000 registered students and over 700 course enrolments.
- Office: Baku, Caspian Business Center, 11th floor.
- Local context: lessons are taught in Azerbaijani with the local payment and account setup in mind.
The lessons are practical screen walkthroughs on a real store, not theory lectures. If you want to grow later, the same team also offers advertising, brand and content services. See all our programmes in courses and services, or visit the DevCommerce home page.
